A Re-Purposed Breadboard Clipboard
October 27, 2013
Last April I found an old breadboard for $2 at a thrift shop here. I still remember the clerk saying to me at the cash register, "I wouldn't cut bread on it". I didn't intend to cut bread on it either. But I loved the breadboard's primitive shape and warm worn patina.
At the very same thrift shop just last week, I found a baggie of old Bulldog clips for $1. This one had a nice aged patina too.
I have had clipboards on my mind this week.
One of my latest blog posts revealed these framed clipboards.
This breadboard just had me thinking clipboard!
A small screw through the top of the clip holds the clip on the breadboard.
I clipped an old church cookbook that I got from my Grandma to the front of the breadboard/clipboard,
And hung the breadboard/clipboard on my kitchen wall. How's that for a clipboard?

Very cool with the cook book. I always pick up cutting boards. i cannot resist them. I like them all stacked up just with something pretty on top like an ironstone pitcher.

ReplyDeleteReally cute idea for a safe way to use an old bread board! :)
ReplyDeleteDid you realize that your colander hanging there is a kosher colander. You know because it has the shape of a six-pointed star.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!! Love it!!
