Hanging My Rolling Pins
March 04, 2014
A have a small collection of rolling pins that have displayed in a 2 gallon Red Wing crock for many years on the floor or on the top of my fridge. Since I am doing a makeover of the decor in my kitchen, I have been thinking of hanging my rolling pins on the wall.
I really liked these rolling pins hanging on spray painted door stops at Our Vintage Home Love. I also liked the rustic barn wood behind the rolling pins.
I soon scrapped the idea of barn wood in favor of these two rustic shutters that I had purchased in September, 2013. These shutters just might work...
So I laid out the rolling pins on the shutters on the floor to size it all up.
I also purchased some 99 cent door stops,
Only to find that finishing nails were much cheaper and easier to hammer in on a diagonal to hold the rolling pins. I liked the look of the nails just as well.
This rolling pin display will be featured on one of the remaining walls yet to come in my kitchen reveal!
Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Put a star on top and I have a Christmas rolling pin display!

Great Idea...I love it and that rustic look. I need more wall space. Thanks for sharing all your fun ideas. Your energy level amazes me. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI love that idea of hanging the rolling pins!
ReplyDeleteI totally saw the tree!! I was going to add that in my comment...hahaha! You've been a busy lady. I wish I had half of your motivation these days. This cold weather has put me in a creative "slump". Need some fresh air :)
ReplyDeleteLove this! I'd keep the star up year around. Such a nice accent, that green star with the green rolling pin handles! This is so clever.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute!
ReplyDeleteLooks great Carlene! And definitely would make the perfect tree display at Christmas too! :)
ReplyDeleteWell you know I love rolling pins on the wall! I noticed the one with the black and white handle. I haven't seen one like that
ReplyDeleteLove it! And the tree for Christmastime would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteYour rolling pin collection new look turn out great.

I'd keep the star on it all year! I love your take on your inspiration :-) I can't wait to see your final reveal!!
ReplyDeleteThe rolling pin display will look great in your kitchen...and I love how adding the star turned it into a Christmas tree for the holidays. I have a shelf in my dining room that has a rolling pin holder on it, but the bad part is that it only holds one pin.

This is so cute! I love being able to display a good collection!
ReplyDeleteYou've got a great collection of rolling pins and now a new Christmas display, too!
ReplyDeleteI have a small collection of vintage rolling pins also and display mine on the wall, too. I used brass colored cup hooks screwed into the wall except for the one that does not have handles. It does, however have a leather cord hanging from a hole drilled in one end so it hangs next to the others. (ok- so technically, it DOES hang from a cup hook lol)
