Old Wagon Boards Make A Great Planter Backdrop

I am so thankful to have junker friends!  Last Friday I found these old boards from a wagon in the garage of my friend, sign maker and furniture painter, Jodi, from Mann Made Signs.

The old boards quickly became a cool, chippy backdrop to a galvanized pail of red impatiens.  I just screwed the pail onto the boards with two screws (one in each board) close to the rim.

I added an old gray colander and set up the wagon board backdrop against a wall of my house on top of the deck!  Instant junk garden vignette!

  5. Carlene - Love the way you did those boards!! Just adding a touch of red to them and then those red impatients really adds a touch of color anywhere you would put it.
