A New Look On My Covered Patio
May 17, 2015
Here is my covered patio from 2013. The Adirondack chairs had an exterior stain, burlap covered cushions and sat atop a floral rug. Because of my terracotta exterior accent color my rug had some orange flowers.
But changes were on the way... My Adirondacks were painted with Fusion Mineral Paint and distressed.
I purchased some inexpensive ($19 each) cushions from Menard's. They are the Madison Pattern by Backyard Creations.
I also purchased this area rug from Menards for $49. It's a 5 x 7 polypropylene rug from Balta. It's not an indoor/outdoor rug but will be fine under my covered patio.
I upcycled these sewing machine drawers earlier this month.
I found these ferns at a Home Depot in Bemidji, Minnesota, for $3.99 each. I planted them in my Healthy Choice soup cans. Ferns are perfect for my shady north facing covered patio.
The cover on the crock table was also painted white.
I am loving this new look! The tans in the rug and cushions will also match my new tan exterior accent color on the garage and house doors and shutters.
More outdoor decorating and flowers to come soon!

I love every detail!! So inviting :). I wish we had some shade for ferns. Tons of sunny spots here...
ReplyDeleteI think it looks really nice. We have a fern arm here. One area in our yard under the trees they grow and multiply. We transport them. With all the rain they are big this year. Love the rug.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Carlene - I LOVE that wheel - it's the perfect outdoor decoration - and the clock - well all of it really lol !
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Carlene...always fun to change things up!
ReplyDeleteLove all the pretty changes! Hope we'll be able to see a photo of the new colors of the garage and the doors and shutters.
