Christmas 2011 Decorating - Simple Touches
December 11, 2011
Looking around my living room, I see simple little displays to share:
Like the brass candlesticks and card/picture holder I bought at a consignment shop this fall and spray painted white. They now grace my cocktail table. The deer antler was given to me by a friend.
Or the made to look vintage skates I purchased last year, filled with greenery and hung on the mantel.
Or the vintage angel figurine in a rose bowl with artificial snow on the desk hutch. I read in a blog recently that everything put in or under glass always looks more glamorous. (Like with cloches and apothecary jars.) I liked the look but one of my co-workers did not she thought it looked like an angel in a fishbowl! Maybe I just like the angel so much with her fancy eyelashes that I can't see it any way but beautiful. She reminds me of my lady head vases.
Or even the addition of a silver ribbon can dress up a pile of books.
Hope you enjoyed the simple touches!
