I started collecting vintage oil lamps at least 10 years ago.  I have always displayed them in a bay window in the living room.  This year I thought of using them on my mantel, more in line with my theme of Christmas decorating around my everyday decor.  I think it turned out kind of romantic.  I put bead garlands in the bases and an upside down red or brown mercury glass interior votive holder with a wax covered votive flameless candle.  A pine snow covered swag is weaved in between the teacups and oil lamps.
