It Doesn't Have to Be Perfect to Be Beautiful!
February 20, 2012
In case you don't recognize this well known mantra used over and over by the Nester at the Nesting Place blog, that's where I'm going with this post. Over to the Nester's linky party, "It Doesn't Have to Be Perfect to Be Beautiful".
I have a little vanity chair in my bathroom that's far from perfect, but I just love it! It fits perfectly under my bathroom's built ins.
It was once part of a vintage, art deco, burled wood, bedroom set my mom had purchased at an auction years ago. Many of the pieces have been sold off, including the matching vanity.
My little chair has been upholstered in a few different fabrics to match different decors, including a peachy tapestry, a blue toile and currently in a French script.
As you will see from the photos, the chair's wood parts have some wear and tear to the finish, but it's honest-to-goodness distressing not man made or sandpaper made. It has an earned patina.
It's not perfect, but it's beautiful!
