Vintage Gold Tilt Frame Vignette
February 09, 2012
I recently found a vintage gold tilt picture frame at a local consignment store for $1. It didn't have any glass, and the backing was missing.
I touched it up with some gold paint and rub on antique gold, and used the glass from another 8 x 10 frame I had on hand. I paid another $1 to have the glass cut at a local hardware store.
This little peachy pink dress hangs in my bathroom. It was my daughter's dress.
This is a photo of my daughter in the dress.
Then, I got the idea to order a reprint of the above photo in black and white, with just the dress colorized. The reprint cost me $7.49. The end result is...I love it. The photo is really fun in black and white.
Here is the frame in a little vignette on my bathroom vanity, in my quaint 1950's bathroom. The dress is visible in the mirror behind the picture frame, along with my baby dress.
About a $10 investment for my special photo and frame!
