Tea Time 4 - Paragon China
August 05, 2012
Today I'm sharing a lovely Paragon China, England, teacup with four kinds of flowers (including roses), black trim, gold edging and a pedestal based bottom. I don't know much about Paragon or the date of origin. I just bought it because I liked it! If anyone can offer a little history on the teacup, please do!
One of my favorites!

Another beauty. Yesterday I was at a birthday party. They had pottery classes. They must have done a session on tea cups. There was a pictue of tons of them all painted. It looked so cute. I know not the kind you collect but it just made me think of you.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a pretty teacup, but I know nothing about any of them.
ReplyDeleteParagon makes some really pretty teacups and this pattern is gorgeous.

Good -Morning ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful teacup and such a lovely shape...Love all those sweet posies that decorate the inside of your teaset...I think the plain outside of the cup is a Paragon trademark... they keep all the pretty stuff on the inside, so that you can see them as you sip your tea ( ha ha)...Good idea !!!...Enjoy your day....Hugs
Oh my gosh, what a gorgeous cup! I love the flower design and how it stands out on black. Very special indeed.

What a beautiful tea cup! It is lovely. I am also going to try that frame for the pot. Love it! Thank you so much! Have a great week. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteThis teacup shows a sense of drama, black and white with so many lovely flowers bordering it.Isn't it nice to add new teacups we love to our collection?
ReplyDeleteJust browsing and saw this, looks like a 1952 onwards Paragon stamp possible before they were taken over by Wilds(the Royal Albert company) but defiantely after they were the Star China Co. I have sonme similar patterns from this period. A good quality English China cup like this should let light shine through it if you hold it close up to a light bulb. Compare it to a coffee mug which won't look any different... Paul
