Nostalgia Day 26: Vintage Baby Announcements
October 26, 2012
I have a lot of old family cards.
I have shared baby cards sent to my parents and I, when I was born. Old valentines from my school days and some older valentines from my Grandma's family scrapbook.
These baby announcements are also family cards.

I still have the new baby cards my parents recieved when I was born. Very similar to those shown.
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming collection! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteOh, how the times have changed with the whole politically correct movement. You've got some darling pieces of American history in your possession!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, I have my old birth announcement...it looks similar. Nice collection.
ReplyDeleteThose cards are so cute! I love the little papoose one! I have my birth announcement somewhere at home. Times changed with my kids in the 70/80's and now my Grandson's is a photo announcement. Great job on this series. I know it's been a lot of work but I'm a huge fan!

I love them! I think it's funny though that some of my own cards my mom received, and the announcements look "vintage" now ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the cards! Why don't they make cards like that anymore? Or, am I being old-fashioned? LOL
ReplyDeleteThat darling Baby postcard is amazing. I just love it! It's so fun to see how things used to be. So glad you did this series! You have so much to share and we would have missed out if you hadn't.
