Heavenly Little Christmas Angels
November 29, 2012
One of my favorite vintage collections is my Christmas angel collection. Most of the angel bell/figurines were made by Lefton or Napco in Japan in the 1950's or 1960's.
This year I have chosen my desk hutch cubbies to display most of my little angels:
The little guitar angel...(maybe it's a lute),
And a little caroler angel,
And a little Christmas tree angel.
Do you remember vintage paper glittered Christmas drape? Dollar Tree sells it. I cut it to fit the bottom of the cubby shelves. Bottle brush trees, faux snow and miniature ornaments finish out the display.
Another little caroler angel,
And there's a little gift giving angel,
And a little basket bearing angel.
This cubby display has framed retro dotted wrapping paper as a backdrop.
This little angel is carrying a candle,
And another with packages.
Such little cuties.
And another little angel with a Christmas gift,
And a little candy cane angel. (These two little red dress angels don't photograph well.)
This figurine is not an angel. She's just a vintage Christmas figurine that was used in Christmas decorating my childhood home. (I think I probably wore that same page boy haircut with bangs in the 1960's.)
I hope you enjoyed my little angels...

Oh, how fun! Love the girls! I didn't know Dollar Tree had the drape stuff. I'll go check it out.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little angels! I think we must have shopped in the same place. Reading your posts reminds me of things I've packed away for years--and makes me want to get them out! Not this year, though. I'll just enjoy yours. . .
ReplyDeleteOh be still my heart!!! You are SO lucky to have such a sweet collection! I forgot to tell you that my recent visit to your laundry room inspired me to completely redo my mudroom! It's all vintage now and I love it.

Hi Carlene! Oh, this is the sweetest little collection I've ever seen. These little ladies are so precious!
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me and be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Carlene, your little angel collection is so darling. I love how you've displayed them. Framing the dotty paper was a fun idea. Great $1 find on the drape.

ReplyDeleteYou have such a cute collection. Love em!
ReplyDeleteI still use the December (for my b-day) angel my grandmother gave me when I was a toddler. She could use company if you decide to reduce your wonderfully angelic collection!
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely adorable!
