Take a Seat...Outside!
April 05, 2013
I am in love with chairs. Big ones, small ones, old ones, ornate ones, shabby ones and unusual ones. I love to use them both inside and out as decorations, and not for sitting!
Using a chair can be a simple as adding a potted plant...
Or maybe a fun colorful caddy filled with vintage garden tools...
Or a pumpkin...
Or stage the chair in a fun vignette...
Of course you can always remove the seat and plant right in a chair...
This chair is weathered to perfection...
Even a red pew for Christmas could be found outside my door.

What's up my sleeve for this season with chairs? I'm not telling, but this is my latest chair purchase.
Yes we still have snow on the ground in northern Minnesota.

All of those chairs were fun to see! You certainly know what to do with your obsession and I can't wait to see what you do with your latest purchase!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting something different than a table on my porch, but it is smallish, so a chair with a flowering pot is the perfect idea! Can't wait to see what you come up with outside this spring :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh you decorate so cute!! I love the shelf and pig sign and all the chairs. You got it going on girl.
ReplyDeleteLove your chairs. I have a very old high chair that was my Mom's. Her 5 siblings sat in it, most of the Grandkids. Mom gave it to me and both my kids sat in it. I keep it at home and love it!

ReplyDeleteYou have to remember to take a good look before you take a seat at your house!! Love the spot by the door... it's perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post. I like chairs, too...especially when they are decorated all up as only you can do. :))
ReplyDeleteCarlene, I love chairs too! I had a planted chair in my garden for a long time at my previous home. It finally just fell apart. Thinking I need another one. Love your new chair!

hi Carlene ... Chairs with plants are such a warm welcome. I have a nice one at my back porch and need to seal it to protect it from rotting away. Love how you have used yours. Thanks for the inspiration. Hoping warm weather for you soon.
