Framed Vintage Powder Tins
May 03, 2013
I have a small collection of vintage powder tins that I displayed on the vanity in my bathroom.
Here they are in a previous bathroom post.
This framed quote used to hang in on a living room wall.
I removed the frame's glass, and Mod Podged burlap onto the cardboard backing. I then attached the powder tins on top of the burlap with velcro. (The velcro sticks really well to the tins but not as well on the burlap. It works better if you add some E6000 to the velcro sticking to the burlap)
Here are the framed powder tins on my bathroom wall.
What do you think?
I am changing a few things around in the bathroom, and will show the whole room soon.

Such a great idea. I love them framed and on the wall, they have so much more impact. Great tins. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteCarlene, they look beautiful and more important framed. I have always liked tins. xo, olive
ReplyDeleteWow, they really stand out on the wall in the frame. Love the 3D effect and the colors and patterns are so intriguing. Good idea~

I like this idea! Now you can display them without taking up counter space.

Hey that's cute. I have the face powder tin, and a whole cabinet of not related tins, and I never thought of framing some together.

Carlene ... such a pretty way to display your tins. Looking forward to seeing your changes in the bathroom.

What a great way to display your vintage tins! I love old tins, too, and have many in our little country store museum. Of course, they're just sitting around--some are stacked. Not as impressive as yours!

That is an amazing idea. I have all sorts of smaller collections (OK, almost all my collections are 3 or 4 items) and that is a perfect way to display them.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a good way to have them all out where you can enjoy them. They look great!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea! I'm visiting from Wow Us Wednesdays.. hope you'll stop by sometime to say hello!

I don't know how you come up with such great ideas! laurie
ReplyDeleteCarlene, I love it! Would love to do something like this in my basement bathroom. I always keep my eyes out for vintage tins, but rarely see any. I have a couple taller ones.
