Another Trio of Junk Pumpkins

Today I made another trio of junk pumpkins.
Again I am using junk drawer parts and vintage kitchen cookware. This time individual aluminum Jello molds.
First I made a little starter hole with a thin screw and a hammer.
Then I spray painted the Jello molds orange.
I painted mismatched bolts and a screw in a dark green.
This is wire curled on a pencil and spray painted green.
When everything was dry I lightly hammered the thicker screw and the bolts into the starter holes. Just don't get the holes too big. (If you pound too hard and punch in or bend in the top, just hammer lightly from the other side.)
I put a little nut on the screws and bolts on the underside.
A Jello mold pumpkin. Almost!
There's the trio.
I wrapped the curly wires around once for the tendrils.

Super easy!

ReplyDeleteCarol, those molds are fairly easy to find at thrift shops and pretty cheap at antique shops.

Okay...now these are my favorites! You should sell some of these Carlene. People would snap them right up I think! I know I would! So very clever!
