A Rustic and Vintage Fall Covered Patio
September 14, 2013
I have been in the process of decorating for autumn inside and outdoors but have been hindered by the scarcity of REAL pumpkins. They got a slow start this spring, and have been very slow to grow and ripen.
Well today I found and purchased some REAL pumpkins at a local Community Farmer's Market, so without further ado, here is my fall covered patio!
Starting with three mini pumpkins in canning funnels on the crock table with a rusty crow and lantern.
My burlap covered chair cushions with the rooster graphics work well with my fall decor too.
More mini pumpkins in a rustic wire basket on an equally rustic scale.
The crate and milk can with pumpkins are up on my front step.
This is the rustic frame I purchased for $7 in August. I added the faux sunflower.
This picket fence shelf looks fairly similar to last year. The vintage "made in Japan" chickens are new this year, and I used real pumpkins instead of Dollar Tree ceramic ones.
Below the picket fence shelf is an enamel ware pail with faux Dollar Tree fall flowers. I add a little raffia to most of my outdoor vignettes in place of straw.
The trouser hanger fall swag hangs on the side garage door. An old shutter with a pumpkin and crow sits atop another milk can. I made the trouser hanger swag here in a recent post.
Looking right on the patio towards the house.
Looking left toward the garage.
I moved the gate around to the front of the house today too. These are my cake pan and junk drawer pumpkins. If you want to make some for yourself, I tell you how here and here.
There they are, the trio of junk pumpkins on my very rusty, rustic gate.
The re-purposed bike wheel pumpkin is also in the front. My re-purposed bicycle wheel post is here.
Thanks for checking out my fall decorating and be sure to check out my Vintage Fall Board on Hometalk too!

Your pumpkin ideas are the cutest ever, love the pumpkin pans on the head board and love the rusty bird and I adore the pig sign, so many cute things.....I hope you will come over for a visit to my halloween story...Phyllis
ReplyDeleteLooks great. We have pumpkins in our stores, but they would just rot in the heat....so I always go faux.
ReplyDeleteOh, it's adorable! What I would give for your porch. Mine is barely big enough to stand on to go down the steps.

WOW, everything looks wonderful. You really did an outstanding decorating job on your front porch.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow I will be tackling my front porch.
Have a great Sunday.

Yay for pumpkins! I haven't gotten any yet...which seems strange to even say...but we didn't grow any this year at all, so I'll be buying some. I love your rustic frame with the flower on it and your swag looks great. But...thos pie pan pumpkins steal the show!
ReplyDeleteYour porch looks amazing. I love how you put vignettes together and the pumpkins are fabulous. They look amazing. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas for fall, may have to use some of them!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks wonderful Carlene, but I still adore those pie pan pumpkins... and that their hanging on that rustic gate is just the the whipped cream on the pumpkin pie. Love them!
ReplyDeleteCarlene, so very beautiful. I really love the pumpkins and the flowers on that chair. Your porch makes me so happy!
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Love your large pumpkin HARVEST sign. That would be fun to make.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so good.

I'm loving your outdoor fall decor, Carlene. You always have the greatest vintage goodies to create vignettes. Love the green scale! The old wheel and rusty gate make wonderful backdrops. Your outside looks so welcoming.
