A Vintage Potato Masher Fall Wire Cloche Vignette
September 22, 2013
I purchased an old potato masher for $4 this week at an antique shop.
What I liked about the masher was its square shape and four wire style, sort of like a "wire cloche".
I treated the wooden handle with coconut oil to bring out a warm wood tone. I blogged about using coconut oil on my vintage wooden utensils here.
I tied a few fall faux leaves on the masher handle with raffia, and added a green faux apple to my "potato masher wire cloche", and set it on a worn breadboard with a vintage bowl of more faux apples.
A very simple fall vignette using a repurposed potato masher.

Oh my word, of course it is a cloche and I totally love it. How fabulous is that. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThat is neat....I love the apple in it!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea! Sometimes less is more. It really works in this little vignette.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! I have an old potato masher but I use it...to mash potatoes! LOL! Also, I had to laugh about using coconut oil on all your old vintage stuff...because that's what this old vintage lady uses on herself! LOL! Those apples look real! I need to get some like that. Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteOh my...I love it!! What a great idea.
