An Early Fall Potting Bench
September 05, 2013
With a couple days off, I have started a little fall decorating outdoors.
I put some orange rusty colored mums and an ivy in my weathered gray chair. During the summer my weathered chair was in the front yard border planted with a trailing petuna.
Have you started your fall decor yet?
Update: I exchanged the sign in the previous photos for this one. I just did not like the peachy color of the background and the words are easier to read from a distance on the new one.
Also added some pumpkins and gourds to the sink!
I love these galvanized buckets of pony tail grass. They are a perfect fall plant as they start to go to seed. During the summer months, you could see them here in barrels by my barn door. A wooden daisy is pushed into the dirt in the pail.
More galvanized buckets and watering cans, mums, ivies, and gourds.
I hung a twig wreath above the potting sink/bench. I also added a fall sign, a garden sign, a crate, and another bucket of pony tail grass.
Lastly I added my two iron water pumps.
I did manage to find some REAL gourds in the bucket, but the pumpkin here is faux and too bright so I opted against it.

No I have not. Well, a few mums, but nothing too fancy yet. Love that potting bench. The best purchase of the year!
ReplyDeleteI have a very weak display on my potting bench, but you have inspired me. Tomorrow it gets and update.

ReplyDeleteI'm still in denial here that it's even happening lol
XOXO
I have been wanting to start my Fall decorating but it's been so bloody hot here. The thought of going into the hot garage to get out my tubs gets put on the back burner till it cools off a little.
ReplyDeleteYour bench looks great!
