A "Re-Purposed" Christmas Tree - Ice Cream Scoop

November 04, 2013
A vintage ice cream scoop picked up at a thrift shop for $1 is the next item to be re-purposed as a Christmas tree ornament.

This is the scoop.  I forgot to take a "before" photo.  As you can see I already have a strip of sheet music Mod "Podged" onto the handle.

I hot glued one of my Dollar Tree homemade snowballs from last year's Christmas crafting into the scoop.

This is Re-Purposed Christmas tree ornament number three.  I like the photos taken outside in the evergreens but today is raining so my photo is taken in an artificial tree.

Re-purposed Christmas Ornaments:
1.  Zinc Jar Lids
2.  Teaspoons

  5. Cute Carlene! I need to revisit your post on making the snowballs. The ones I made without any directions did not hold up well.

  8. Oh I LOVE this!!! So darn cute. I've got to have a look at your recipe too... I NEED some of these snowballs. Plenty of the real ones right outside my front door, but these are much cuter. :)
