A "Re-Purposed" Christmas Tree - More Salt Shakers

November 09, 2013
One of my very favorite Christmas re-purposes from last year was the Anthropologie tree in a salt shaker with faux snow.

There were many Anthropologie "inspired" pins on blogs and on Pinterest last Christmas.  Isn't this fun?

Here are my shakers to re-purpose into "Anthropologie inspired" ornaments.

I added some faux mica snow to one shaker, pushed a bottle brush tree with the wire wrapped in a little scotch tape to fill the silver ornament opening.  I used a curly cue ornament wire to poke through the shaker holes.

This is cute.  I am so glad I made some ornaments inspired by Anthropologie.

These trees are from a bottle brush assortment from Darice "Home for the Holidays" white sisal tree, 8 piece.

The other shaker is displayed in my kitchen shadow box.  Don't you love these "Anthropologie Inspired" shaker ornaments?

  2. SO cute!! I am addicted to vintage, glass salt & pepper shakers anyway so this is perfect. I see so many of these in the thrift stores -- what a cute hostess gift these would make. I may even make these up for some of my co-workers. Thanks for the great idea.

  6. I am on the look out for some shakers or small bottles. I found a little package of the trees at Archivers . They are so tiny and cute. I like the ornament ball on the bottom. Love mica snow.
