Toilet Tank Cover Makeover
February 08, 2014
I think this area could use a makeover! The reproduction white enamelware tub at least kept junk organized, but is definitely not very attractive.
As luck would have it, I found this wooden second hand toilet tank shelf that fits perfectly.
It is painted with a semi-gloss white paint with gold trim.
I painted it with Annie Sloane Pure White Chalk Paint.
I distressed the paint a bit.
I added soap and Qtips to a couple of clear glass vintage jars, and arranged them on the toilet shelf, along with a spare roll of TP.
Much better!

You know I've seen these and didn't know what they were for? But I'll be on the lookout for one! Organized and cute toilet tank!
ReplyDeleteHi Carlene! OH, I really like this and how marvelous that it really fits your tank like this. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Looks good. Our toilets have the button on top, so I can't put anything on them. haven't decided if I like it or not!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I told you to be careful... you'll be painting everything in your house with that chalk paint! LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great but what did you do with the stuff that used to be on the back of the toilet?
ReplyDeleteMuch better! I would like one of those, just gives it a more finished look!
ReplyDeleteIt looks much better! I had never seen one before.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I wish I could put canisters on the top of our toilet tank but with two boys, they'd definitely get broken. And we only have one bathroom. Still, I love this idea!

So cute! I'll be on the lookout for one for our toilet in the master. No storage in that room!
ReplyDeleteGreat project! Sure made it more usable.

Much better yes, and thank you for the spare roll, I'd hate to have to dig in your cabinets to find one.
ReplyDeleteNice addition Carlene. Have not seen one of those in years.
ReplyDeleteYES ... much better.
