$2 Rummage Sale Table Becomes A Planter Table
May 11, 2014
Remember this $2 senior center rummage sale table from a post here?
I hope no one has fainted, but I cut a hole in the top. This is not an antique or good quality table. First draw a circle on the table, use a drill to make a hole big enough for a jigsaw to fit inside and cut out your hole.
The hole fits a terracotta pot just perfectly.
After the hole was cut, I painted on two coats of Annie Sloan "Old White" chalk paint and distressed and waxed the table.
The table is going to be fairly safe under my covered patio (no rain and not much wind). In fact I plan to plug the pot hole, because I don't want water to drip on the patio or on the table legs.
I purchased a few annuals today at the greenhouses. Probably only a third to one fourth of the plants that I will eventually buy in the next two weeks. Rain and (even snow) predicted all week here with a high in the 40's. I can't babysit too many plants.
I hope you like my planter table!
