Rustic Shovel Handle Display Tray
August 25, 2014
First came this lovely scalloped edge farm tray/feeder that I purchased at a garage sale with just the perfect amount and placement of rust.
Then I spotted this old shovel with just a bit of red paint and a great patina for $6 at Jackson's Icebox Antiques & Collectibles.
Next I cut the handle down with to about half it's length, and attached it with a screw from the bottom. The washer keeps the handle from having any play.
It was that easy!
It will work for flower pots. It will work great for fall vignettes next month as well, and maybe even at Christmas!

I'd fill that up with some artificial snow and some rustic snowmen and leave it out all winter! It will be adorable with mini pumpkins and gourds, or apples.... I love it!
ReplyDeleteCarlene ... one of your best. Love it.
