Thrift Shop Farmhouse Shelf Makover
February 22, 2015
I purchased this dusty old shelf at the thrift shop for $5.
I gave it a couple of coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in "Pure White", and distressed it.
I added 1/2" chicken wire to the back of the door with staples.
I added vintage some vintage kitchen ware.
It was easy! Don't walk by a dated shelf at the thrift shop. It just may have possibilities.

ReplyDeleteLove it ! I just wish I Annie Sloan paint nearby. And some warm weather would be nice too. Thanks for the fun idea.
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Carlene! I also love the pig napkin holder you added the graphic design to! Great blog makeover, too!
ReplyDeleteLove this! And that rod at the bottom would make a perfect place to display a vintage tea towel!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference a little paint makes and anything looks better with chicken wire!!! :) Nicely done...it would look great anywhere!
