2015 Potting Bench and Patio
May 25, 2015
I am sitting back on the covered patio looking left at my little weathered garage sale outdoor table and chairs, antique dough riser with red geraniums, and outdoor throw pillows from Menards. The pillow pattern matches my covered patio Adirondack cushions. (Not like me to be that matchy!)
Those are vintage bottle caps attached with magnets to the dough riser for extra bling.
I didn't put TOO much on top of my potting sink this year, but in keeping with the fact that it is a potting bench, I stacked terracotta pots on the bottom shelf.
I have been planting flowers since Friday. We can have frost up until Memorial Day in northern Minnesota (and even past that occasionally), so it's always a busy gardening weekend for me.
Most of my perennials are still very small, and the flowering crabs are in bloom all around the neighborhood.
I will be sharing more garden posts soon. I think I may have less junk and more flowers this year for a change!

Everything looks very nice. I to have a dough riser but never thought of using it as a planter. As another poster asked, I too would like to know where you purchased your sign with all the flower names, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI purchased the flower name sign at the Tattered Angel. https://www.facebook.com/thetatteredangelstore?ref=ts&fref=ts
