A Surprise Junky Wreath For My Patio
June 04, 2015
Last weekend I paid a visit to my junk gardening sister in law's house.
She was busy making a wreathes out of old springs and Christmas wreath frames she had found in the woods by her home.
Imagine my delight when I came home from work on Monday and found a very fun spring wreath hanging on my patio.
I just love it! I will be sharing with you her larger rusty spring wreath, and many more creative ideas from my sister in law's gardens, all summer long!
I hung the wreath on a rustic ladder behind my fun and flirty laundry tub planter!
Update: I stopped at my sister in law's house today and she gave me a few details on how she made the wreath!
This is another cedar wreath my sister in law found in the woods.
The wire frame has metal clips that hold the cedar boughs in place.
First to cover the frame, she used a couple of rusty furniture springs to cover up most of the metal. Then she said she hammered the clips to flatten them so the spring wires would stay in place as she wove them through. I hope this helps any of you wanting to make one.
