An Up-Cycled Thrift Shop Frame

September 12, 2015

I thought this hinged shutter frame had possibilities when I saw it at the thrift shop.

I painted it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White, and sanded it to distress the edges.  I applied a coat of clear wax.

I added a Tim Holtz embellishment, a metal tag that says "Authentic".  The tags are available at Amazon or other craft shops too.

I love this shutter frame in white.

I was going to sell this frame at my shop, but I just may add some of my little cuties's photos and keep it!

*I added three botanical type prints from the Graphics Fairy.
