A Comfortable, Vintage, Covered Patio
June 06, 2017
Join me on the covered patio! Do you remember my white DIY flower urn from thrift shop parts? It's on the covered patio with an ivy cascading over the brim. I found a plastic liner pot that fit perfectly in the urn so I didn't have to put the dirt directly into it.
The galvanized vase, also a thrift shop purchase, holds a Cretan Brake Fern.
The magnetic, galvanized roses are made by Darice. I purchased them at a local drug store but they are available online at ebay.
The fern mister is also a thrift shop purchase!
I have had the weathered buggy wheel forever, and it is one of my favorite backdrops.
This little rustic shelf was purchased at a local antiques shop. It fit so well on my covered patio, and displays bocce balls in a colander, a pothos vine, a vintage iron frog, vintage lunchbox, vintage garden hand tools, and hose nozzles.
The vintage tag is actually a cutting board. The twig swag was purchased at a rummage sale and spray painted with Rust-Oleum Chalked Spray Paint in Chiffon Cream
The door on the right is the side door my attached garage.
In the corner is my table pedestal with laundry tub planter and a Boston Fern in Hanging Basket tucked inside. A bachelor buttons print is displayed in a metal thrift shop holder.
My Adirondack chairs were given a chippy Fusion Mineral Paint treatment in 2015, and my table is a Red Wing crock with a Menard's table round transformed into a crock table/cover.
I am still using my cabinet door "B" wall hanging next to the front door.
The little Home Goods rustic stool got painted off white and distressed.
Now the stool is holding a zinc corrugated planter with more vintage garden hand tools. Another thrift shop galvanized vase holds a Maiden Hair Fern Plant on the front step.
I hope you enjoyed my 2017 covered patio complete with ceiling fan, as much as I am!
