A Fun Shovel Handle Junk Tray & Country Sampler Gardens Magazine
April 18, 2019
I found this fluted edge farm tray at a garage sale several years ago.
I was thinking planter, but I found an even more fun use for it!
I found an old shovel.
I spotted this old shovel with just a bit of red paint and a great patina for $6 at Jackson's Icebox Antiques & Collectibles.
The shovel handle was sawed down with to about half it's length, and was attached it with a screw from the bottom.
The washer keeps the handle from having any play.

It was that easy!
The tray worked perfectly for corralling small terracotta pots with succulents,
AND for displaying fall gourds!
I really love that my shovel handle tray is featured in Country Sampler's Gardens Magazine!
The whole magazine is wonderful! Lots of projects from other bloggers as well.
Thanks for visiting!

That's wonderful, Carlene! Love that magazine and your projects are worth a picture or write up in that publication. You have lots of good ideas. I'll keep my eyes open for my own shovel handle!
