I purchased this plain little stool at the thrift shop.
It's first makeover was HERE.
Now that I don't decorate for Easter anymore, I sanded the top with my Ryobi Compact Corner Cat Detail Sander and gave it makeover number 2!

First, I brushed on two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in CAVIAR.
I then distressed the stool with 220 grit sandpaper.
This is one of the newest stencils from *Old Sign Stencils, Stone Milled Flour.

The stencil fit really well on the top of my stool.
Just a couple of leaves hung over the edge of my stool.
I stenciled the lettering with Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Drop Cloth, and the leaves with Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Burlap.
Now to wax the stool with Dixie Belle Best Dang Furniture Wax in Clear.
Here is my painted, stenciled and waxed stool!
I just love it!
Another farmhouse project started with this drawer from the consignment shop.
Actually just the drawer front. (The rest of the drawer is being used for another project.)
I painted the drawer front with two coats of Caviar too.
I used a three line stencil on a recent project, so I tried it on for size on the drawer front.
Yes. I liked the idea.
I eventually opted for the Thicker Three Line Grain Sack Stripe Stencil, the top stencil in this graphic.
The grain sack stripes were stenciled with the Burlap paint, the rooster in Drop Cloth, and 1932 in Caviar.
I waxed the hook board and added a sawtooth on the back for hanging.
I love this one!
If you get them on sale, they are $1.50 each.
I usually like Drop Cloth with Caviar stenciling, but I have to say I like the black with white lettering too!
Pin for later!
Thanks for visiting!
