My birthday is in June, and I always pick up a few to me from me gifts for the garden.
Like this tulip crate from 1986. I've wanted one for a while. So far, I am displaying it in the corner of my deck.
I'm trying Nasturiums in my galvanized tubs with obelisks this season.
I have planted the tubs and obelisks with black eyed Susan vines in the past years. In 2016, the black eyed Susan vines were magnificent above.
Last year though, they were not as full, kind of spindly.
I am hoping that the obelisks keep the Nasturiums contained a bit, as they spread.
I may have to move the buffalo checked minnow bucket planter, and oil pitcher geranium planter if the Nasturiums take over the bench.
Succulents are planted in the railing ledge planter, and orange seed geraniums and pale lavender verbena are in the red wheelbarrow, (a previous gift to me, from me).
The birdhouses and pulleys on the railing are a little wet from a rain shower.
You can check in on this planting in next month's annual junk garden tour!
Thanks for visiting!

I've never heard of orange seed geraniums, Carlene. Are they different, other than color, from other geraniums?
ReplyDeleteI love all your galvanized things. Your vignette of planters and plants are really cute. I haven't done much with my deck this year as it is due to have the flooring and rails replaced. I didn't want to have to dis-assemble everything after planting and arranging things. But next Spring I will be able to do it up right I hope.
Thanks Naomi! They are bi-color orange. https://www.bonanza.com/listings/15-Pinto-Premium-Orange-Bicolor-Geranium-Seeds/502038886?goog_pla=1&gpid=293946777986&keyword=&goog_pla=1&pos=1o1&ad_type=pla&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1Jbl4avi4gIV0ODICh34WAd0EAQYASABEgKstfD_BwE
