Do you pick up little stools at garage sales and thrift shops? I do.
This one is from the thrift shop.
This one was from a flea market.
Both get a makeover, AND I am sharing a round up of my other blog stool upcycles here too.

First, the spindle legged stool was painted with two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Manatee Gray.
I cut out a section of a Prima - Iron Orchid Designs - Decor Transfer - French Pots III. I centered the stencil, removed the paper backing, used the the stick to rub on the transfer. I was very careful to make sure the whole transfer had stuck down on the stool before I removed the clear sheet.
I faux distressed the stool edges and legs with my FolkArt Home Decor Layering Block and Ceramcoat Acrylic Paint in Walnut Noyer.
I sealed the paint and transfer with Dixie Belle Easy Peasy Spray Wax.
It's so easy to use! Just spray and wipe.

My little stool has a French Country/Shabby Chic vibe.
The short, rustic green stool was painted with two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Barn Red. I used my layering block on the stool to add faux distressing on this stool too.
Details on how to use the layering block can be found in my blog post HERE.
I pounced on the *Old Sign Stencils Sugar stencil with Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Drop Cloth.

This little stool is perfect for the pantry or kitchen.
*Old Sign Stencils provided me with complimentary samples. All opinions about these fabulous stencils are my own.

Cute little stools! Love what you've done with them. I have several little stools that I need to get busy on.
