This primitive country table was one of my June garage sale finds.
I paid $5 for the table.

I cleaned the table with hot soapy Dawn dish soap water, and removed the wooden star.
I painted the table with my favorite black paint, Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in CAVIAR. It only needed one coat of paint.
The rectangular shaped stencil, from the set, fit the front apron area of the table.
I added the the corner stencils diagonally on the bottom shelf.
I applied Dixie Belle Best Dang Wax in Clear with a wax brush, and wiped the table with a fiber rag after the wax had dried. More useful information on "how to apply wax" can be found on the Dixie Belle website.
I like the makeover!
The black and white paint gives the table a more formal vibe, while it's simple style is more farmhouse or cottage!

That looks really good, Carlene. I like the stark black and the white stenciling against it. The table looks new and clean. It's beautiful!
