Mini Clipboard/Clothespin Christmas Tree Ornaments

On Saturday, I shopped at a Walmart in Canada. I had to check out the crafts department.

I found these adorable little Momenta 1 1/2" x 2" mini clipboards in the bridal craft section. They were priced at $3.47 for a package of two. I picked up a few.

I also purchased a $2 package of clothespins.

Since I will be using these for craft projects, I brushed Varathane Weathered Wood Accelerator on each of the clothespins. I went back to touch up areas that were not gray enough, or missed, on the second coat.

These little clipboards are sooooo cute!

Earlier this fall, I purchased this two page set of Show-Offs Adhesive Holiday Icon Stencils at Hobby Lobby.

The stencils are small enough to work on holiday ornaments. They sell for $6.99 (less if you use the 40% off coupon).

I then made a small card stock template to fit the clipboard, and traced it on plain white card stock.

I stuck the deer stencil onto one of the white card stock rectangles, and stenciled it with a very narrow stencil brush, and Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in CAVIAR.

I used the snowflake, tree ornament, and holly stencils too.

If you like color, you could paint the clipboards and stencil in Christmas colors as well. I tend to go with small trees these days and neutral ornaments.
