A French Upcycle For A Hobby Lobby Metal Planter
March 23, 2020
I purchased this Spring Shop galvanized wall planter from a Hobby Lobby store in Bemidji. It came in two sizes. I chose the smaller one that was priced at $9.59 at 40% off.

I also picked up a package of 5 wooden candlesticks at Hobby Lobby.
I brushed a couple of coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in Champlain onto the candlesticks.
The candlesticks were attached (upside down) to the bottom of the planter.
Holes were drilled in the bottom of the planter and the (candlestick) legs were attached with short sheet metal screws (with attached washers), using a ratcheting wrench.
I picked up this fleur de lis stencil at Hobby Lobby too!
I stenciled the fleur de lis on each end of the planter using Fusion Mineral Paint in Champlain.
Finished end stencil.
I picked up a few French stencils from Maison de Stencil including this Paris Flower Market stencil.
I pounced "Flower Market" onto the front side of the planter with Champlain.
My French style planter was ready to decorate!
Houseplants would be cute in small pots tucked inside the planter too!
An easy and inexpensive French planter project idea!
Thanks for visiting!
