Thrift shop Primitive Wood Box Upcycle
June 01, 2020
I picked up this rustic, wooden, primitive country style box at our local thrift shop a couple months ago.

I lightly distressed the paint with 220 grit sandpaper.
I positioned a new cross stencil I purchased at Maison de Stencils and pounced on the stencil using Fusion Mineral Paint in Champlain.
Two rusty iron pulls from the Bemidji Hobby Lobby store were added to each side, and I waxed the box with Dixie Belle Easy Peasy Spray Wax.
This stencil could be used in the bathroom as a First Aid cross. With a red background and white cross, my box has the Swiss flag emblem.
I have a pot with a fern inside the box on a bench on my covered patio.
I will likely put the fern inside for the winter.
Pin for later.
Thanks for visiting!
