25 Cent Garage Sale Quilt Rack Makeover
July 20, 2020
I picked up this smaller, wooden quilt rack at a garage sale for 25 cents.
It was in pretty good shape.

My youngest daughter was home for a visit and offered to paint the rack. She did a great job!
She brushed on two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in The Gulf.
After the quilt rack was painted, I stenciled it with this Cornelle Garden Stick and Style Stencil and Fusion Mineral Paint in Champlain.
The stick and style floral stencil was centered and stuck down to the outside end top and bottom, and on the cross bars.
I swirled the stencil brush (rather than pounced) to get a soft, opaque stenciled look.
I sealed the paint and stenciling with Dixie Belle Big Mama's Butta, applied with a waxing brush and wiped down with a fiber rag.
The quilt rack is perfect for throws too.
The quilt rack matched my Boho round frame project from earlier this year!
Pin for later!
Thanks for visiting!

It's so nice Carlene! And it's a steal for 25 cents!! It always makes me wonder how people price their stuff :)
