Vintage Two Tier Drum Table Transformation
August 02, 2020
This is a little vintage table that my mother found thrifting. The top had some finish and water damage so she had a tablecloth on it most of the time.
I decided to paint it with Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint in Midnight Sky. Dixie Belle describes Midnight Sky as a dark blue black.
After I brushed on two coats of Midnight Sky, I taped this 18" Artminds Mandala Stencil from Michael's onto the table top.
I swirled on the stencil using Fusion Mineral Paint in Coal Black.
The black paint color over the dark blue/black paint resulted in a subtle, monochromatic stencil design.

I then brightened up the metal lion rings on each side of the table with Rub 'n Buff Wax Metallic Finish in Antique Gold. I applied it with my finger and wiped off the excess.
They show up so much better after the Rub n' Buff.
Rub n' Buff lightened the feet up as well.

I waxed the paint and stencil with Dixie Belle Best Dang Wax in Clear. I applied the wax with a wax brush and also a rag.
The table has a modern farmhouse look.
