I picked up this little stool last week at the thrift shop for $2.
It is a homemade stool that has never been painted or stained, and it's put together a little bit crooked.

After wiping it down with a hot soapy rag, I brushed on a couple of coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Caviar.
I have a new stencil today from Old Sign Stencils, YOU PICK ORCHARD.
The stencil is perfect for fall decor signs, or for a kitchen/pantry farmhouse style stool.
All pricing and shipping amounts on the website are stated in Canadian funds, and will be converted to US funds.
*Old Sign Stencils has provided me with complimentary samples. All opinions about these fabulous stencils are my own.
I taped the stencil onto the stool with blue painter's tape.
I swirled and/or pounced on the stencil using Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Drop Cloth for the lettering, Dixie Belle in Farmhouse Green for the pears, and Dixie Belle Paint in Kudzu for the pear leaves.
I distressed the stool lightly with 220 grit sandpaper, and waxed it with Dixie Belle's Big Mama's Butta.
I turned the pear stencil so I could add three pears at the top of the lettering.
YOU PICK was stenciled on both of the stool's sides.
I love how the lettering and pears pop on the Dixie Belle Caviar paint!
It's a handy little stool for display or as a step stool in the kitchen or pantry!
Thanks for visiting!
Pin for later!
