Dollar Tree Stenciled Spring Decor Tote With Faux Florals
February 19, 2021
I created an easy and inexpensive spring decor project with Dollar Tree finds.
These little bright pink totes were two for $1.

I will be using the floral stencil (on the left) also from Dollar Tree. I used it last week on my Dollar Tree boxes.
I centered the stencil on the pink tote, and taped it in place with blue painter's tape.
I usually don't use this much tape but the margins are really thin around the stencil and I didn't want to pounce paint over the edges.
I put a spoonful of Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Drop Cloth on a paper plate. I pounced and swirled my stencil brush on the paper plate until my brush was dry enough for stenciling.
You could also use acrylic craft paint from the craft shop for this project.
I placed a some empty stencil packaging inside the bag to prevent paint bleed through to the back side of the tote.
If the paint isn't as you like it, pounce on a second coat rather than use a wet brush.
I used two of first stem and one of the third for my project. The florals are also from Dollar Tree.
I arranged the stems so both floral types were mixed together.
This was an easy project that cost me $5.
Thanks for visiting!
I will be sharing more dollar store projects next week.
