Dollar Tree Ironing Board Sign Upcycled As Farmhouse Laundry Room Decor
March 21, 2021
I found this thin pasteboard laundry sign at Dollar Tree.
I gave it lots of farmhouse laundry room style.

This is a 1" x 8" pine board, cut to 18".
I have used Varathane Weathered Wood Accelerator (gray) for several years now.
Today I'm trying Aged Wood Accelerator with a brown finish.
This is my board, still wet, with the new Aged Wood Accelerator.
I removed the tiny clothespins on the Dollar Tree ironing board and flipped it over for painting. I brushed on Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in Drop Cloth.
The top side had a piece of contact paper on it with Wash and Dry.
I purchased this laundry stencil from Hobby Lobby a while back. It's a good size for the ironing board.
I swirled on the stencil using Fusion Mineral Paint in Ash.
Four clothespins were glued onto the ironing board and board with Titebond Glue. I let it dry overnight.
It is great staged with a lone sock.
I was inspired to create a great sign with the Dollar Tree cheap sign.
I did not seal or wax the sign or distress it.
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you were inspired to upcycle too!
