A Dollar General Blue Truck With Decor Transfers And A Succulent
June 11, 2021
I found this navy blue metal decor truck at Dollar General.
I paid $10 for it. I gave it a small upcycle with decor transfers, and placed it on my deck with a succulent!

I also found a similar truck at Menards, but I preferred navy blue to the light green color.
I cut the words DES MOINES out of transfer sheets and rubbed it on one door.
These graphics fit the door well.
I also applied a crown graphic and GREEN'S NURSERY to the hood of the truck.
An Iowa ADDRESS was added to the other door,
And FORD, also from the transfer was added to the bottom rear.
I used a hammer and a nail to make drainage holes in the bed of my truck, and applied Painter's Touch Clear Matte Spray to the decor transfers for outdoor protection.
I also added a few drainage holes to a small faux distressed bucket from Hobby Lobby.
I purchased this Crassula Gollum succulent at a local greenhouse and planted it in the Hobby Lobby bucket.
I placed my truck with succulent planter on the deck.
I may apply a couple more coats of spray sealer to protect the transfers. So far, the truck has been rained on a couple of times, and the transfers are holding up.
Thanks for visiting!
