More Junk Garden Before & Afters 2021
July 05, 2021
My last post with junk garden before and after photos was very well received, so I put together more photos of planting time and early July.
Here is a bucket of three dragon wing begonias at planting time.
Here is the same bucket of begonias today!
Here is Boston Fern basket in an upcycled bucket hanging on a birdcage stand.
The Boston Fern, in July, is much fuller!
I planted three early spring lobelia and three ruby ivy geraniums in this galvanized tub.
Here is the oblong tub today!
Annual baby's breath were planted in the watering can with Diamond Frost Euphorbia and a pink zonal geranium planted in the scrub bucket.
The baby's breath plants, today, are covered in tiny white blossoms,
While the Euphorbia and geranium are filling out nicely as well!
This fun galvanized bucket with a spout was planted with a Menard's combo of calibrachoa, verbena and a petunia, all in pink. The calibrachoa died shortly after planting, leaving just the verbena and petuna.
The pink combo looks wonderful. Especially the verbena.
These three coleus plants were pretty well established even at planting time.
The have definitely filled out since planting!
This metal planter of pink wax begonias and impatiens,
Is growing nicely under the tree by the deck.
More impatiens under the tree but this time with coleus.
I love this plant combination!
Here on planting day, a red zonal geranium in a funnel and a red ivy geranium basket in a cream separator.
I love rusty junk with red geraniums.
At the top of the front border garden, red calibrachoa and red supertunia in late May.
Here is the same kettle on the stepladder in early July!
Nicotiana in a galvanized bucket in late May.
I love the star shapes of these mixed nicotiana.
Red double impatiens in a stenciled minnow bucket at planting time.
And finally, here are the red double impatiens in early July!
Thanks for visiting!
