Bachman's Winter Wonderland Ideas & Inspiration 2021
November 23, 2021
Even though I live in Minnesota, I had never heard of the Bachman's Idea House inspiration tours until reading Linda's Itsy Bits & Pieces Blog. Linda did a great job regularly sharing Bachman's seasonal/holiday tours! This year, I was in the Twin Cities area in November and made it a point to attend the Christmas open house. Due to Covid-19 concerns, the tour was located in Bachman's flagship store instead of inside the Idea House. Here are my photos taken during the open house.
Right at the start of the tour, I was seeing a lot of Christmas decor in black! I have been using more black this season too! How about you?
AND gnomes are still hot too!
Crates of black, red and silver ornaments.
The first vignette on the tour was "In The Meadow Dining Room". The dining room vignette featured a a color palette of red, white, and charcoal, and was styled after a snowy Vermont meadow. The pillows and table linens were a nice mix of fabric patterns and textures.
A pair of skis anchored the centerpiece.
Next up was a "Lush Lodge Living Room" vignette featuring this lovely sofa with black, red, and white pillows.
More skis, a toboggan and lots of mini wooden trees and lanterns decorate the fireplace and mantel area.
I love the deer print framed with red skis.
And what's not to love about a red and black buffalo check and red jingle bell Christmas tree?
This is part of the retro "Peppermint Parlor Kitchen" vignette.
More of the "Peppermint Parlor Kitchen" vignette. I love the red fridge!
The "Peppermint Parlor Kitchen" table is lighted with a whimsical sugarcoated wooden spoon chandelier!
A close up of the "Peppermint Parlor Kitchen" island, AND
The wooden spoon chandelier.
The "Sleigh Bells Ring Entertaining Space" has a festive forest vibe with a large bronze stag on the bar decorated with a lush garland.
The wall's modern geometric wall panels add more layers of interest to this cozy vignette.
This "Naughty Or Spice Dining Room" dining table is decorated with festive botanical and natural elements.
More natural elements, including dried orange and apple slices, decorate the mantle and tree in the "Naughty Or Spice Dining Room".
The "Chic Chalet Game Room" combines fun and games and coziness and style. On either side of the fireplace are faux wood canvas prints, while a stack of real wood is stored in the tree shaped iron holder at the right.
"The Festive Fika" Scandinavian inspired porch features a happy reindeer, gnomes, and plenty of Nordic patterned fabrics. A hot cocoa bar is to the left of the door.

I loved the sled with the house number on top! Cute idea!
The "Santa Paws" vignette was a tribute to man's best friend! The red and green traditional colors combined with dog treats, ornaments and pictures.
The front door has a gift shaped doggie door and a fun doormat!
The "Tartan Tidings" vignette featured muted Christmas reds with deep blues. A tartan plaid tree skirt and a blue plaid scarf decorate under and on the tree.
Deep blue antique wicker chairs filled with plaid blankets and "Joy" pillows decorate the front porch.
Another view of the "Tartan Tidings" Christmas tree.
On to the front porch of the "Seasons Tweetings Bird Buffet" vignette table and a wild bird smorgasbord of treats and seeds.
More festive Christmas decor, a dusting of snow, and birds at the front door.
AND yet another beautiful Christmas tree!
Did you notice the rustic picket fence shutters around the window?
The tour is over, but I couldn't help take a photo of the potted poinsettia tree,
And the Fantasy Poinsettias too!
Thanks for visiting! I hope you enjoyed the tour. If you want to view prior year's tours, Linda's Itsy Bits & Pieces tours can be found HERE.
