Target Bullseye Playground Chalkboard Stenciled With Poinsettia Sweater from Old Sign Stencils
December 18, 2021
I continued to score fun items to upcycle at the
Target Bullseye Playground area.
This Christmas sweater shaped chalkboard was my latest find!

This is the back of the chalkboard.
I got the crazy idea that my Poinsettia Christmas Sweater Stencil from Old Sign Stencils might fit on the chalkboard.
There are now three Christmas Sweater pattern stencils from Old Sign
Stencils, Christmas Sweater (with deer), Poinsettia Christmas Sweater, and Snowflake Christmas Sweater. They are all perfect for fun projects and pillows too!
All prices on the Old Sign Stencils's website are listed in Canadian currency. A handy currency conversion link is
provided for your convenience.
*Old Sign Stencils provided me with complimentary samples. All opinions about these fabulous stencils are my
own.
When I held the stencil over the chalkboard sweater, I could see that my
idea would work!
I pounced on the pattern using Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk, Fusion Mineral Paint in Bayberry, and Fusion Mineral Paint in Fort York Red.
I also used Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in Putty.
I then decided to use a water based Voodoo Tobacco Road stain from Dixie Belle on the wood/MDF area of the chalkboard.
I used a sponge brush to apply the stain, and wiped it off a bit after application with a paper towel.
I really love this stencil!
Here is the back side.
This is NOT an ugly Christmas sweater!
The sweater works well alongside gnomes with Nordic pattern hats or clothing.
I did not seal any of the stenciling or stain, as the sweater will be only used indoors and seasonally.
Pin for later.
