I found this square drawer at a local thrift shop last fall.
I just gave it a Christmas/winter makeover!

After removing the drawer pull, and washing up the drawer with hot soapy
Dawn dishwater and a rag, I brushed on three coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in Drop Cloth.
Drop Cloth is Dixie Belle's most popular color!
I love old sleds and snowshoes! They are perfect decorations for Christmas
and winter too. (Especially in Minnesota)
Snowshoe Company is a new Christmas stencil from Old Sign
Stencils. I will use sections of it on the sides of my drawer, and as usual,
it will coordinate with all of my other decor stenciled with
Old Sign Stencils.
All prices on the Old Sign Stencils's website are listed in Canadian currency. A handy currency conversion link is provided
for your convenience.
*Old Sign Stencils provided me with complimentary samples. All opinions about these fabulous stencils are my
own.
I taped the top part of the stencil (the snowshoes and dots) to the sides
of the drawer. Always measure to get the stencil centered!
I pounced on the snowshoe graphic using Dixie Belle Paint in Putty, and the dots with Dixie Belle Fall Limited Edition Paint in Juniper.
Here is one of the finished sides.
I added the Snowshoe Company script to the front and back of the drawer
with Fusion Mineral Paint in Ash.
I applied Dixie Belle Best Dang Wax in Clear to the drawer using a lint free rag.
I painted the drawer pull with Fusion Mineral Paint in Ash, and tied a Target Bullseye Playground $1 snowshoe ornament onto the handle.
The snowshoes in the drawer are also a Target Bullseye Playground find. I painted them with Drop Cloth chalk paint after priming them with spray paint.
The faux log bundle was, you guessed it, also found at Target Bullseye Playground. I have had the trees in the drawer for a while.
Pin for later.
Thanks for visiting!

This is such an adorable winter vignette, Carlene! Dang, I wish we had Target stores in Canada.
ReplyDeleteThey have really upped their game on the cheap bullseye playground area! Thanks!
