This project started out with this reddish colored barn wood framed primitive country sign. I purchased it thrifting for $3.  The sign part is painted on a thin piece of board.

Photo of random junk laid out on a barnwood framed picture to form the word love.I laid some collected random junk on the frame and sign board to form the word LOVE.

The junk included:  a butter knife, pickle fork, rusty small metal plate, a curling iron, a door pull, a bottle/can opener, a screw of some sort and not sure about the 3 hole piece.

I took the frame apart, and brushed a couple of coats of Ceramcoat Acrylic Paint in Light Ivory on the wood sign.

The door pull stood too high on the board so two holes were drilled to bring it down flush.

The rest of the pieces were glued onto the frame and/or sign board with E6000 Craft Adhesive.

The frame already had a saw tooth hanger on the back.
