Thrifted Bulletin Board Upcycled & Repurposed As A Jewelry Display/Holder
April 07, 2022
This curvy bulletin board, originally from Hobby Lobby, was a local thrift shop find.
See how I upcycled AND repurposed it below.

First, I brushed on a couple of coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in Caviar.
Next, I pulled out this fun Dixie Belle stencil called Lotus Bloom.
Dixie Belle Paint Company provided me with complimentary product samples. All opinions about this fabulous stencil or paint are my own.
I am going to swirl on two rows of the stencil.
I used Rustoleum Metallic Paint in Soft Gold to apply the stenciling.
I found a container of clear push pins at Dollar General, but I really wanted gold push pins. I used a small brush to apply Rub n Buff in Antique Gold. I always have this stuff on hand for adding gold accents.
Rub N Buff is a paste in a tube. You can apply it with your finger or a brush. I poked the push pins in a styrofoam tree shape to dry.
Here is my painted and stenciled thrift store bulletin board!
I hung a few necklaces on my gold push pins. I have 10 gold push pins in all.
I think the curvy board with the swirly stenciling is perfect for jewelry display/storage.
Pin for later.
Thanks for visiting.

Excellent, Carlene! Love that stencil! And painting the pushpins was pretty crafty, too.
