Front Side Of Deck Rustic Birdhouse Display

I re-assembled my rustic birdhouse display that was a new look last year on the front railing of the deck.

I planted the two buckets with red Caliope Geraniums.

Several of these old birdhouses purchased from garage sales, consignment shops and antique stores were once used by birds, and a few of them were craft sale items.

I get the occasional wren going in and out of them in the spring, but they don't stay. There is just too much noise and commotion, and it's not safe from squirrels.

In 2019, this same spot on the front railing of the deck was all about pansies.  Details on that display HERE.

In another previous summer season, the horizontal barrel was planted with double and single impatiens in several colors, and trailing vines.  A bedspring wreath with a plate inside, hung on the screen above it.

Another year of impatiens, this time red, and hen and chicks planted in funnels above the barrel.  Details on the funnel project HERE.

A while back, I was really into kitchen fairy gardens!  This one is the second version. Details HERE.

From 2012, the first kitchen fairy garden is HERE.  My kitchen fairy gardens were planted with hen and chicks, succulents, alyssum and a few herbs mostly, all planted in and around kitchen junk.

I hope you enjoyed looking back at the front of deck plantings!

Thanks for visiting!
