Sunflower Farm Themed Outdoor Covered Patio DIY Decor

June 12, 2022

Photo collage of sunflower themed projects created for my summer covered patio.
Today's the day I reveal my Sunflower Farm themed covered patio for 2022.

The above upcycled projects (and a few more) are part of my patio decor.

Right next to the cement step is my repurposed spittoon planter with a plumeria fern.

The cute little bench was painted with Colonel Mustard and stenciled with Old Sign Stencils Farmhouse Quilt.

All the details on the bench and cow bucket can be found HERE.

Also above the step is my framed transfer project from last year.

Photo of a small chair painted in Colonel Mustard with the Farm Quilt stencil.
While painting with the Colonel Mustard Paint, I brightened up this little chair too.  The stenciling is a portion of the Farmhouse Quilt stencil.

I placed the sunflower cheese box table between my Adirondack chairs.

The galvanized sunflower tins were Goodwill makeovers in a blog post HERE.

The Old Sign Stencil that started the whole sunflower farm patio idea was pounced on a galvanized thrift shop find HERE.

My mailbox planter and crate projects are displayed in one corner of the patio and planted with a fern.

I found another black metal mailbox in my shed.

This one hangs on the wall.

I used the sunflower stencil from Hobby Lobby and Colonel Mustard once again.

I hung the mailbox on the garage side door.

My sunflower toolbox project is sitting on a black bench, and filled with vintage garden tools, a small washboard, a watering can and bucket with another fern.

Sunflowers will not grow on my north facing covered patio, but ferns do well.

The barn wood shelf that formerly held painted books, now holds a sunflower print from Michael's.

I think my black and white buffalo check rug works well with the sunflower theme.

My old wagon wheel has stayed in the shed the last few years but returned this season to the patio.

The chair cushions are covered with burlap fabric.

I just love sitting out here. It's shaded, and there is a ceiling fan too.

I hope you enjoyed my sunflower themed patio. Thanks for visiting!

  1. Carlene, I am SO envious of your sunflower patio! I would love to have a covered outdoor area where I could place up-cycled items like you have. You've done a spectacular job of creating all this eye-candy for your little relaxation place. Love it!

  2. OH NO she’s gone Madd Yellow!! 😂 I love all the yellow! It’s very cheery and looks absolutely wonderful in your outdoor areas! I love when you do repurpose makeovers too…nicely freshens up the pieces and they last so much longer!
