Today I'm going to share more mid-July junk garden photos, along with May planting photos of the same flowers.

Above, these red dragon wing begonias are really lush, filling in the whole seat of this wrought iron peacock settee.

Here are the dragon wing begonias at planting time.  They were gorgeous then too, but notice how they have covered the grow sign in the first picture!

The two enamelware chamber pots were planted with one fiesta red double impatiens in each.

Just look how full and flowering the impatiens are in mid-July, covering up so much of the chamber pots.

The lobelia is filling in nicely, and very healthy in July!

Photo of a hanging basket of violas.
In late May, I won this hanging basket of violas at a local greenhouse in a facebook drawing.

The violas are loving this partly shady location on the deck rail here in July.  They have spilled over the pot and onto the railing.

Here my clematis is starting up the trellis in late May.  To the left are allium bulbs in bloom.

Here in mid-July the astilbe are blooming in red and white in front, calendula are blooming in orange behind them, benary zinnias are blooming in the back row, and the Picaso petunias and lemon slice calibrachoa are filling up the garden's mid section.

This garden in the very back of my house used to have sedums, dianthus, and creeping phlox planted in the ground here.  The sedums took over, so this year I dug them out and added landscape fabric and mulch.  I filled the space with an assortment of junky planters, rustic wood pieces, and a futon back.

Most of the plants were 6 pack bedding plants, more specifically wave petunias. Also a pot of pansies, and red pentas.  To the far right is a bucket with a cherry tomato plant.  This photo was taken in late May.

Besides moving things around a bit, I added an old window, a galvanized star, and another package of wave petunia bedding plants.

Look at the cherry tomato plant!

Thanks for visiting my junk gardens today!
